Megan update and my weekend
Good morning folks. I just wanted to let you all know that Megan got weighed on Friday and we are proud to say that she is a GINORMOUS 17lbs 4oz!!!! We had a great weekend. We had our community garage sale on Saturday, we made $35, on the 5 things we sold. We didn't have much anyways, and it was good that kids got to get out and play. Saturday night was a bit different. A few years ago I was an avid softball player. I played on a tournament team that played every weekend from March through November. Then, after Megan was born and the difficulties that it brought, I gave it up cold turkey. Well, Saturday night I decided to give it a go again in a rec league at the park where I got my start in softball. Second at-bat, Jolly hits it to third base, three steps into my run to first, I felt it. The twinge in the back of the lower thigh. Yep, the ole hamstring let me know it was still there. Not a pull, not a tear, just a twinge. But it was enough to make me stop for the night. I did make it to first, thanks to the third baseman booting it into left field, but nonetheless I sit here typing this blog with a sore left leg. All this after stretching for almost an hour. I knew it was going to be bad, so I got there early to stretch and make sure I was loose. Oh well, we have a bye week to help me recover fully, so I should be good to go by the week after. It was fun though. I was able to see some people I had not seen in, literally, 2 years. Good stuff. Take care everyone and thanks again for the continued prayers. Here a cute pic from Saturday.
