Megan's 1st Birthday Party

Well, Saturday was a momentous day. We had Megan's first birthday party, and it was truly an experience that I had not expected. 68 people I thought were just going to come, socialize, eat cake and pizza and then go home. It was much, MUCH more than that. My dad had made a picture montage of her first year that ran as a loop throughout the whole party, there were a lot of folks that I had not seen in years show up and overall it was a blessed time. We were able to surprise everyone with the fact that Megan now weighs 13lbs 13oz, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most she has weighed to this point. She was never really able to get over 13lbs 4oz, without suddenly getting sick. She is a lot happier, moving more frequently, playing, babbling. Really a completely different child at this weight. Anyhow, her party was most excellent. My dad took about 350 pictures and as soon as I get them I will post some of them here. I wish you all could have been there. I know a lot of people on this site are praying for her and I wanted everyone to finally get to meet her, face to face. We are going to try and bring her to the LAN in August, so hopefully most of you will get to meet her there. Thanks again for the prayers and thoughts, they have gone a long way and her weight gain is proof that God hears and answers prayer.

Mark 11:22-25 Jesus says:

22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
