Lunch with the King...

A few days ago I stopped at a newly built Burger King for lunch.  I haven't been to the BK since shopping for those cool little $5 video games they were pushing a few months back so I thought I'd stop in the fancy new store near my work. I know that the BK isn't necessarily gourmet cuisine but for a quick burger at lunch how bad could it be right?  I noticed at the drive through a new item on the menu that seemed tempting.  It was a Cookies-n-Creme Milkshake.  I have a well documented love for the cookie, but I also have deeply held feelings for ice cream as well, so this is a no brainer for me.  Once I got back to work I noticed something a bit unusual.  The straw for the shake was at least 3x the size (round) of a normal straw.  Kind of cool I guess but quite frankly I felt just a bit ghey using it.  I ended up ditching the straw and just drinking from the cup pretty quick. :)

The meal was fine, I went back to work and commenced my usual afternoon activities.  Those normally include lots of browsing 2o2p and IM chat with my various cohorts.  Then it happened.  Roughly 2 hours after lunch I felt something strange.  Not foreign mind you, I recognized this feeling.  Little did I know that when I ordered that milkshake I would be in for a long afternoon of what can only be described as "explosive diarrhea".  Damn you BK!  Had I known that the shakes at BK could also be used as a medical grade laxative, I would have planned better.  Now not only was I living with the shame of having a phallic experience with their over sized straws, I was now reenacting the scene from Dumb and Dumber.  So the moral of this story is that if you are in the mood for a good cookies-n-creme milkshake, go to Chik-fil-A.

LMHO! That's just classic. Sorry for your discomfort, but that's pretty funny. :)

It could have been worse. You could have eaten Krystal or White Castle and have it coming from both ends.

This will teach me not to read your blogs. A little mystery in marriage is good.

I had a similar experience with over-stimulation of my lactose-tolerating parts yesterday at Culver's. I didn't have ED like you did but I got a big gnawing pain in my stomach after eating a custard concrete mixer (their version of the Blizzard) with Heath bar. I didn't feel better until two trips to the john had been finished and I made a couple hastened deposits.

The only fast-food place that doesn't make me sick is Wendy's. Getting old sucks.
