Life Sometimes Just Sucks.
So, 2 weeks ago, the temperature regulator goes out on our fridge. No biggy. Cost us $250 to fix, but it's all good.
FF to last week. Realize that the battery is out on my Oakley watch. Not really expensive, but the hassle of having to ship it to Oakley in Cali is just that, a hassle. Then, I notice this nice vertical line running down the middle of my screen on my laptop. Shit. Reboot. Still there, and there during the boot-up process. Hardware issue.
Thankfully, this is one of the few pieces of electronics that I actually sunk a warranty into. A 4 year warranty. So, it's covered, but it is going to take 5-7 days to get it fixed.
FF to yesterday. Find out via the internet, that my VoIP phone provider, Sunrocket, just pulled the plug. No warning, no nothing. Phone still seems to work, for now, and I was able to have my CC company do a chargeback on the POS company, so I got over half of my $200 back. But, not sure what we are going to do when the phone does go down, which sounds like it will be on Friday.
So, I get home tonight. Daughter wants to play a game on the computer. I haven't sent the computer in yet, as the wife has been using it for Mary Kay. I pop the CD in the comp. Nothing. Nada. Zippo. WTF? I trouble shoot it and come to the conclusion that the CD-DVD drive is no longer working. Glad I found that out before sending the computer in, as that would have required a 2nd trip.
Anyways, after dinner, I'm doing the dishes. I rinse the left over vegetable shit down the drain, and turn the disposal on. It runs, and then, it stops. WTF? I can't get it to work now.
It's like all my electronics are deciding to crap out all at once, and it sucks.
*sigh*
Oh, and the Monster-in-law is still here, and my wife is at a 3-day Mary Kay conference, so I am home alone with her and my daughter.
Joy.
