Standing left to right - Stearley, Vandenberg, Smith, Weyland and Nugent\r Seated left to right - Simpson, Patton, Spaatz, Eisenhower, Bradley, Hodges and Gerow\r \r General Bradley didn't get enough credit I think.

I knew 4 at a glance, but obviously JoeBob knows them all.

The bottom seven are form left to right; Chris Adams, Vin, Bernardo O'Reilly, Britt, Chico, Harry Luck, and Lee.

All In could get was Ike, Patton and Bradley, and that was only causeof the movie...\r \r Gotta love Patton with his helmet...such a ham...

I've gotta admit...\r \r I knew: Patton, Bradley, Ike, Vandenberg, Spaatz, and Hodges.\r \r But I could only identify Patton, Ike, and Bradley by sight.

I only know 3 by sight: Bradley, Ike, and Patton.

I knew Ike and Patton by site but once i read joebobs post i recognized Bradley to. and i only knew Patton because of the helmet. :(

First off, I have to say that I'm glad Montgomery isn't in that pic, because he's an example of a pencil pusher who should have been left driving a desk drinking tea, rather than gambling with mens lives. \r \r Having said that, I think Nimitz should probably be up there as well. While Pearl was a complete cluster on multiple levels considering the intel, the way the Navy re-grouped and succeeded after Pearl by rebuilding the fleet and winning some major battles is a tremendous feat. Anyway, props to the greatest generation, including my grandfather, who hit Omaha in the first wave on D-day. No matter how many times I watch Saving Private Ryan, I ball like a baby every time I watch the first 10 minutes.\r \r Peace.

Regarding Monty and Nimitz - I totally agree. And I knew all the guys because I had seen the picture before.
