LAN write-up updated (...finally)

After a 3 month hiatus, I am finally trying to complete writing up my experience at the Chicago LAN (which was in AUGUST for crissakes). I feel like a marathon runner that came to within a half-mile of the finish line and then bonked out, unable to move another step. I’ve been revived recently, and now I am forging ahead towards the goal. I may not win a medal, but dammit I WILL finish this thing if it kills me in the process.
