I got a phone call from CompUSA today and received an email shortly after I got off the phone:

"Dear Tim,



It was nice to speak to you this afternoon!


To confirm, your interview is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 3:00pm for our Technician Development Manager position."

Parker is a very large company, so it's likely that it's pretty stable. As it is a large corp, there will be room to move up or transfer if you wanted. Probably have a much better benefits package.\r Any academic project is going to be rife with politics, everyone trying to look like the big contributor. \r \r I'd choose the former, were I in your shoes.\r \r Good Luck, and thanks for the advice on the dome.
