Its been an interesting couple of days

It actually started a couple of weeks ago.  My wife noticed a lump in my youngest son's nec.  Just figured it was a blown lymph node and it should end up going away after a course of antibiotics.  After a visit to the peditrician, it had not gone down and they recommended a consult to a specialist.  After meeting with an ENT, it was decided to operate and pull the affected node out and do a biopsy on it to see why it hadn't gone away after 8 weeks and several courses of antibiotics.  We had that procedure this morning.  Josh is doing fine but I get to stay home with him for a day or two to let things heal a little before going back to daycare.

Two weekends ago, my wife was in a car accident with both boys, in her mother's van.  Both boys are ok, but Cath has been having shoulder problems ever since.  She has been fighting with our insurance company and her mom's insurance company (both with the same insurance carrier) to get futher treatment.  She was able to get for this afternoon.  Tey are doing an MRI on it and we are still waiting for the results of that.

Last week, they announced another round of layoffs at work.  I should be isolated from the cuts, but there may be members of my staff that could be affected

To keep things even more interesting, Cath's grandmother (who lives in town) suffered a mini stroke last night.  So on top of Josh's surgery, cath's shoulder problem and now they are trying to get grandma in to see neurologist (she refused to stay the night in the hospital).

When it rains, it pours.  If it weren't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all..... blah, blah, blah.

The only positive is since I'll be at home with a doped up 2 year old,  I that I should get a fair amount of gaming in.  I am finding out real quick that daytime tv sucks. ctually, I'm very grateful that Josh's surgery went well.  Now I just that things go ok with Cath's shoulder and her grandma does ok.

Hope the little guy is okay. The rest of the family also. When it rains it pours.

Look at it this way. You're getting your hell in all at once so you can hopefully enjoy an extended period of no drama.
