It's only when I play with strangers that I realise...

Most of the people I play with on 2o2p are amazing players.

Tonight I just decided to wing it, and venture out on my own into matchmaking for CoD: W@W. My man is sick (ear infection) so date night cancelled (big boo, but it happens). Now, I'm not a great player by any stretch. I don't practice enough (at all?) and I am still relatively new to FPS. I am an RPGer at heart. I always get my ass kicked when I play with my clanmates, even in private matches. Why? Well, since they are all prestiged out... we get matched up with ... other prestige players. The result? Little level 26ish JayCat is playing against people WAY better.

But... when I play against people my own rankish...hey... I can almost hold my own. Call in a few recon planes.  Get a postive K:D ratio. Crapola like that.

Amazing.

So ya: 2o2p: pat yourself on the back. We seem to be a cut above the rest!

J - I just missed you. Our room is half its size due to some bedtimes. If you jump back on we've got some spots...

I've noticed the same thing with Gears. Playing with AOW peeps who have an amazing talent pool make me a better player whether i like it or not. THen when i play pub games, or hell even other clans, suddenly i'm running top of the ranking instead of mid to bottom range.\r \r We play hard for a bunch of old peeps.

I concur! I definitely play better when I have a good support team with me.

I notice this most often in team games. I love hearing all the comments from the other team about \"all the garbage players with their gold bars\" on our team\r \r Then we steam roll them. 3-0.\r \r Communication, cooperation, organization, knowing what other players strengths and weaknesses are... \r we may not be very good on our own, but as a team we kick ass.\r \r God help us if the kids ever learn to work together. =)
