It's FREAKING HOT!!

It has been 105 deg. or better for the last 5 days and I can't take it anymore! My poor cats are nothing but puddles of fur when I get home at night. Last night it was still 84 deg. outside at midnight! I looked into getting a window mount AC unit - impossible. None to be bought around here. Besides that, my shitty new house (the one with the shitty phone wiring) also has crappy outlet wiring. I would have to wire a new grounded 115 volt outlet with its own breaker. Let's just say - NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I don't know how to do that, nor do I want to try. And I'm not paying for an electrician to come out.

We have tried closing everything down in the morning, and it seems that there must not be any insulation in the attic, because that resulted in sweltering heat inside the house. Again - kitty puddles.

I'm sick of this heat wave!! I know it's worse other places, but for right now, I'm going to vent.

No kidding. The normally cool coastal OC is a sticky fucker of an oven. Nobody has A/C in my neighborhood, because we almost never need it. I'm sitting here just dripping. At least the tequila eases the suffering.\r \r Keep cool, dude.

Im right there with you man. It was 108 here friday and around 100 since then. We have a window mount AC unit which is nice if you sit on the couch, but upstairs has to be close to the high 90s. Me and the three kids have been puddles by the time shakes comes home. \r I hope it cools down for you soon!

What is with this heat? I thought the west coast was nice and cool. I heard Seattle went triple digits over the weekend?! That's crazy!

I'm in Northern Cali near Sacramento and it was over 110 this weekend! Ick, I didn't leave my AC'd house. Nice kitty photos.

Where in Sac? I'm familiar with it. My wife used to live in Carmichael.
