In the beginning...

I have been playing video games since the late '70's.  I don't remember the exact order because I am old and it was a freakin' long time ago but I am pretty sure it started with Pong,  with those funky steering wheel controllers.  It was followed by (not in order) a Colecovision, a Commodore Vic-20, the venerable Atari 2600, a handheld football game with little red minus signs that denoted the players, a Commodore 128, then my first real gaming computer/love of my life,  the Amiga 1000.  Commodore killed the Amiga and I was sad and didn't game for awhile but then came Doom!   Then came Sega Genesis and the Nintendo 64,  with a few PC games thrown in on occasion.  Then there was a long dry spell.  Ended up getting married and having a couple of kids.  Then a couple of years ago on a business trip I was introduced to Unreal Tournament.  Things had changed a little.  Holy Cow!  It's on my laptop and I will never not love it!  My most recent aquisition, and the catalylst for me finding this web site is the magnificient Wii.  A new way of interacting with a virtual world!  Because of how scarce the Wii is, I was forced to interact with other people seeking the Wii.  I found that on the whole...I liked them.

So here I am, being all social and shit.

Like the rest of you,  I have had my share of Timmy encounters and that is one of the reasons I am looking forward to the interaction on this web site.

Next post will be a synopsis of my Wii hunt along with URL's and strategies to score one before Christmas without paying outrageous ebay prices.

Target just had a \"re-launch\" on Sunday and I picked up two more. They seem to be easier to find now.
