I Work With Idots.

Not my fellow co-workers who are physically in the same office as I am. No, I mean the people who are in the same company that I deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Yeah, I know that I'll experience these people the rest of my life. It just seems that this company has more of them then normal.

Example. When my company cannot support a customer on our network, I go and lease capacity from a vendor. A lot of times, we are directly connected to these vendors at specific locations. As such, they usually provide the engineering for this connection, where as normally, we have to get a letter from them that authorizes us to go into their location and make the connections. (That's called a LOA (Letter of Authorization)).

Now, I work specific regions of the United States, mainly the midwest. The provisioners I work with also work specific regions, so a lot of them, I have worked with for almost 6 years.

You'd think, that after 6 years of working the same city pairs and the same vendors, they would pick up that certain cities, and certain vendors are directly connected to our network.

But nope. One provisioner in particular just doesn't get it. She has repeatedly requested LOA from me for a city from which we are directly connected with the vendor we are using. As such, no LOA is required or provided.

Yet, she continues to ask for it. HELLO!?!?! Are you stupid or something? How many times have we put up circuits in this city, using this vendor!??!?!?

I just want to invent the technology that allows a person to reach through the phone and choke someone. I could make a lot of money off that.
