I love days that start out like today!
First, I wake up and discover the cat has thrown up. This was expected (more on that in a second), but still not a fun thing to wake up to and have to clean up.
Next, I'm making my breakfast. I grab the milk out of the fridge, but somehow, I didn't really "grab" it. So, the gallon jug flies out of the fridge, onto the tile, and spills all over the place. Another mess to clean up.
Then, I'm getting my stuff ready to leave. I'm a diet Mt. Dew junky in the morning. I have to have 1-2 before lunch to function. So, I have an open 24 oz Dt. Dew on the counter, and I go to grab it, but wasn't paying attention, and instead knock it over on the counter, and it promptly spills all over the place. Another mess to clean up.
So anyways, I was patching a hole in my shorts on Sunday (yes, I do my own sewing, ironing, laundry, etc... Suck it!) and I was watching TV on my bed while sewing. I had left over thread in a pile on the bed next to me, and I finished up patching the hole.
I went to go do something in another room, and left everything on the bed. Well, when I returned to the room, the pile of thread was gone. About 6-8 inches of thread. I didn't think anything of it until my cat started throwing up late Sunday evening.
Great. The cat ate the thread and now it's obstructing his tummy. He's done something similar to this before, and was able to bring it back up by vomiting. So, since my wife was home sick yesterday, we decided to see if he would pass it or throw it up yesterday.
No such luck.
So this morning, I had to take him to the vet. He's 100% indoor cat. Freaks out if you take him outside. Now I have puncture wounds on my side from his hind leg claws.
Dropped him off at the vet who is going to run some diagnostic tests. That's gonna run about $250.
Went back home and had to take a tape roller to my shirt as it was covered in hair, and finally made it to work.
I hate mornings like this.
