I Hate Winter

I live in the South dadgummit!

Granted, I do live about a mile from the Ohio river. But still, I am in Western Kentucky and only about 40 miles from the Tennessee state line. That is still the South as far as I am concerned. Like my profile says, it isn't as far south as I would like to be. But seriously, it is still the South.

Now I'm not about to start a discussion on Southerners VS Yankees or SEC VS Big 10(thank you very much Schnauzer), but there are some very good reasons I like living in the South and why I wish I lived further south. The pictures below portray just one of those reasons.

I hate this crap. I hate the cold. I hate having no power. I hate that several of my employees have been without power for 5 days and have been told it won't be back on for at least 3 more days.

I can handle the cold, on occasion. When I am deer hunting and when there is half a foot or more snow on the ground. I have seen half a foot or more of snow twice in my lifetime (The second time was just last winter. Global warming my butt!). I only get to deer hunt approximately 15 days out of the whole winter. The rest of the time Old Man Winter can Eat It!

I just needed to vent a little. My arthritis is killing me. I could not imagine living any further north than I do right now. And Schnauzer, if you read this, I don't care how many coats you wear. I'll take 100 or higher over 30 or below any day of the week.
