i hate cats!
i get the feeling that this is totally bogus. and even though i hate cats, i in no way condone this. but i think it's interesting how people feel sorry for the cats yet it's ok to hook, suffocate and gut the marlins and sharks the "rich, white" guys are killing. what the hell does being rich and white have anything to do with anything????? love the shirt, though!

j-cat, never saw that one. but keep in mind that i'm not posting this in an effort to save sharks or marlin. just as an observation on american reflexes. we pick what lives are acceptable to save, mostly due to their cuteness. if people want to eat dogs and cats, that's their business. i still don't condone it. however, show a dog or cat in distress in america and everyone is up in arms. show a shark being finned and dumped back into the ocean to die is ok. a life is a life and the world has yet to learn to respect that.

To each their own. I prefer warm blooded animals that can provide companionship instead of a shark. Dogs and cats are more likely to invoke an emotional response than a shark because they are more likely to make a difference in a human's life. People can't respect human life. It's going to take a lot longer for them to respect any other life.

#2 I don't understand people who either hunt or fish for \"sport\" in general. I try not to get preachy about it, and I recognize that it was once a necessary survival skill that probably shouldn't be entirely abandoned.\r

#3 The term is sentience. Humans are a higher form of life than cats or dogs. Cats and dogs are higher forms of life than fish. Fish are higher forms of life than invertebrates. Invertebrates are higher forms of life than bacterium. This is the way nature works. So yes, it's a bigger deal when cats or dogs are abused than fish.\r

#4 If I ever witnessed first-hand this happening, I wouldn't take pictures or call the police. Rather I wouldn't stop beating the perpetrators until every bone in my hands was broken.
