I got wood....

Received a special shipment of pen blanks today. Two pairs of beautifully spalted maple. I absolutely love the look of this wood and can't wait to turn it. Now I just need to decide what to use them for....

I love that wood. One of my favorites. I did a turkey call in that once and it turned out beautifully. Dangit. You have got me wanting to start a new hobby. How much is a lathe going to set me back?

very nice LB, I too dream of having a kick ass shop, especially every time I watch \"New Yankee Workshop\" on PBS. The pens all look great so far, I didn't know there was such a thing as a mini lathe.

Might want to use at least one as an abstract sculpture. Sorta like a classic rook or bishop from a chess set? Let your imagination work!
