I did it, I joined a guild....

I finally broke down and joined a guild. I figured, I have to get over my fear of being in a group setting. Also, I'm to the point where the game is not fun anymore, I want someone to play it with on a regular basis. I found a good guild, Old Republic Dads (and mom's too apparently). It's pretty big (600+ members) with a dedicated chat channel and a robust web community. It's also specifically for working parents, which means no pressure to join in organized events, people on at all hours of the night and a pretty laid back play style. I have high hopes.

It is PG though so please cross your fingers I am able to keep my mouth in check.

I wasn't able to transfer my characters from Ebon Hawk though. ORD pretty much owns Shadowlands so I had to move over. I left my characters on Ebon Hawk though. Hopefully there will come a point where I can transfer them (I'd even pay for it!).

I miss the days of Halo 2, when all I could think about was getting some time alone so I could hang out with friends, giggle, talk, shoot people and have fun. I miss having friends to enjoy games with. I like to think that I have matured in the 6 years since I joined 2old2play (yes, I joined this site 6 years ago in 2006). Okay, well maybe not completely, but a lot in how I interact with other people. And I'm still working on it. I'm really hoping joining this guild will be a good thing and not a miserable failure, as my attempts at joining gaming groups have been in the past. Here's hoping.
