I did it!
I accepted a job offer last week for a very interesting position in Newport News. I will start at 1/2 time and go to full time as soon as it is approved. Woohoo! It is very different than what I have been doing, that is, slinging chemo. I will be working in an infusion pharmacy. My responsibilities will includeteaching nurses and pharmacists about how to do home infusion, what is required (knowledge and equipment), and serve as a resource for the entire staff for information on anything having to do with infusions of any kind. I will do a fair amount of administrative work, and act as a laison between pharmacy and drug companies. No, not a drug rep. Not at all. But, I get to do the little lunches for various groups for educational purposes. Fun.
So, the house is sold, closes on June 21. I have given notice at my current job and will be moving to Williamsburg in a couple of weeks. Kitty and all. My divorce should be final in a month or two. What else is there? Hopefully in a month or so my life will begin to settle down so that I can get back to some kind of normal. Very different....a new normal.
Life is good!
Oh, almost forgot! We celebrated my new job with a visit to TGI Fridays and toasted to our future with mudslides! MMMMMM, good!
