I don't have kids, and I haven't watched Sesame Street in years.  Years upon years.  And yet today I have had a couple songs stuck in my head from that show.

The first one goes
1 2 3...4 5 6...7 8 9...10 11 12
and they all played games at the ladybug picnic
1 2 3...4 5 6...7 8 9...10 11 12
and something else at the ladybug picnic
They played jumprope till the jumprope broke
Then they all sat around telling knock knock jokes
The ladybugs 12, at the ladybug picnic.

(possibly stuck in my head due to reading a post about a knock knock joke earlier today)

And then that brought about another memory:

12345 678910 11....12!
Do do do dodododo doooo do do do dodo doo DO! do do do do!
TWELVE!
(and then this jazzy little instrumental that will always be stuck in my head)

I remember this song was playing during some type of cartoon with a pinball machine. It was one of my favorites because I have always loved pinball, maybe that's why I remember it.

Yes...I remember these songs from when I was a small child. About 28 years or so ago. It's weird how the human brain works. I can also remember my phone number from that time, the first one I had to remember.

I remember that damn one from the pinball machine..it was to trippy for children. I think it was on another show. Maybe the Electric Company or something like that.

I went to sleep last night with the complete theme song to Different Stokes playing over and over in my head.

It may have been the Electric Company. The main thing I remember from that show is the Spider-Man live action portion.\r \r Also--the more I think about that pinball thing, the number changed depending on what number they were focusing on that day.

I can't help but think that DIfferent Strokes is just fundamentally wrong to name that show. Don't tell me that creepy white dude didn't pop a tent whenever he tucked those tender young boys into bed.
