How is this week going to end?

Sunday, Dastard and I went to visit his folks for Mother's day and had a very nice meal. Afterwards, I was going to continue on to my hotel for the week. I arrived at my destination and all seemed well. The xbox is up and running and connected to Live, w00t! I go to retire for the evening and realize I don't have a carrying case for my contacts. Crap! Ok, no crisis, I will use the glass and since they are the same size and prescription, I don't need to worry about which is which.

Morning comes and I go in the bathroom to take a shower and there aren't any bath towels, just smaller hand towels. Ok, are they in the closet or behind the curtain in the shower? Nope, they are now where to be seen. Alright, phone the front desk. Um, the phone has no dial tone. Oh, here's the problem, it wasn't plugged into the wall jack. Plug in the phone and still no dial tone. Crap. Alrighty then. Go downstairs to the front desk, request some towels and report the phone. The front desk man asks if the line 1 button was depressed. Huh? Line 1 button? Sure enough, the line 1 button needs to be depressed for a dial tone. Go figure.

Is this the way the rest of my week is going to go? I really hope not. Even though these are small, pesky things they will add up in a hurry!

On a brighter note, I have the xbox connected to a gamebridge and will see how to record games so the guys can see the replays from tournaments on 2o4duty! I suppose I better pack up the electronics so they aren't out for public display when the maid comes in to replace my hard won towels! This is a little bummer, no 2o2p or site chat all day. No reading blogs, either until I get back to the room. I'm actually going to have to put in a day's work! Eee gads.

Would you rather:
Be forced to go through a cycle in a large clothes dryer along with 5 pairs of football cleats
Or
Along with wool blankets stuffed in until it is full?

Keep On go!

Edit 6:34am.  Add a false fire alarm at 6:20am!  This is not looking good:(

Hm, sounds like a 'hotel from heck' scenario. You know, going out of their way to make guest feel incredibly unwelcome. Maybe it would be time to re-evaluate any competitors. Good luck.

Hotel from Hell.\r \r Yeah, be careful with your personal belongings.\r \r I don't know if you remember, but I had bought Heather a gorgeous $600 yellow and white gold necklace for her wedding present. \r \r She had to go to job training the week after our wedding in Lincoln, and that necklace was stolen out of the hotel room. Good times.

No, Soup I don't remember but wow. This is a Hilton, these things shouldn't be happening. The competitors are worse and closer to places I don't want to be! This is the lesser of two evils, I guess.

That sucks! You are right too, Hiltons' are generally very nice (at least in my little bit of experience). Maybe you should complain (diplomaticly of course) and they would give you a free nights stay at a future Hilton and you and Dastard could use it to get away together?? Just a suggestion...and I guess I would take the cleats....guess I like being able to breath without blankets stuffed against my face.

that sucks about your hotel. Hopefully your week gets, better\r \r As far as the wool or cleats question. I go with the cleats, being itchy for me and stuffed in would be more bothersome than getting kicked in face repeatedly.

How do you 'depress' a button? Tell it rotary phones are coming back? \r \r I would go with the blankets.
