Hotels Suck

Once again I'm trying to scramble and get the hotel locked down for the lan event and still have to wait on them to get the contract over.  First it was going to be ready last Wednesday; it wasn't.  Then I was told today at 8am at the latest.  After waiting all day for a call I finally call them and now I'm told I have to wait until sometime tomorrow to look over the contract. 


The worst part is that every time I get a contract from one of these hotels, I still have to take about a week or so of arguing over hidden costs.  You would think that after having an event at this hotel in the past, they would KNOW what my requirements are and send me something ASAP to get the room booked.  Let's face it, our event brings money to a hotel.  We eat, drink, and pee on their carpets so they should rush to sign a group like ours. 


Now I'm just worried people wont have enough time to get all their vacation plans in order.  Every day that goes by is a wasted day of tickets sales and booking flights/hotel rooms.  Lets just prey they have a solid contact ready to sign and hopefully I'll have an announcement ready an on the homepage tomorrow.  Hotels Suck.

The good news is.... my trial is set for Aug 19th... which means I will be leaving to go on site ... that's right Aug 10th.. right AFTER the LAN..... WHOOHOOO!!!!

I deal with hotels every day...unless you are talking to the head manager, or business manager(not those front desk managers) then you then you might as well piss on their carpet, you'll get more useful information that way.

pretty f'd up, i guess i would understand if it was a new hotel, but an existing one we have used before? wtfffff\r \r fyi i really liked the one we had it at last yr, it was kick ass.\r \r

You would think in these economic times that they would be bending over backwards for some business. I'll wait to book my flight just in case things don't work out at this place.

Maybe you should send them a contract.\r \r Make sure you include Thursday evening's purchases in any cost requirements.

looking forward to confirmation on the date. i'm gonna really try to go this year after missing the last 2 years or so, so hopefully they'll get off their asses and get it done.
