I bet, if you, fire off some rounds next to your ear, you won't hear that annoying whine anymore...or stop cleaning out your ears, that works for me.

When I got mine back from M$ it was 2 times louder than when I sent it in...bugged me. So, I bought a new one and sold the old one...my new one is much quieter. :)
