Hollywood goes Gaming
With the news of Spielberg buyinjg the rights for a Halo movie it made me think about how hollywood is looking for new ideas for films. With the countless remakes and bad ideas. (Why remake Back to the Future with Beiber???) they have turned to the gaming industry for the next big thing. Looking at the early success of Tomb Raider it shows that something with a decent budget (oh Doom and Uwwe Boll why just why) will bring in the masses. Talks about a Gears of War movie had died down but i'm sure that it will resurface with the release of GOW3. Uncharted looks like it will happen and man would i love to see a Bioshock movie. Probably one of the best single player experiences i have had in a while.
Just one suggestion Hwood stick to the story that the games tell and go from there. Don't add the it girl of the moment just because. I think most of us are past that. Maybe i have gotten to old but im more interested in who directs a movie than who is in it.
Hope to see some of the 2old2eh crew online soon so someone can show me how to play reach multiplayer (damn those kids are good...) talk some hockey (its what canadians do when were not cleaning are igloos and snowshoeing to the tim hortons)
My new cheap game to pick up is the orange box which was cheap before but is now $20. I stayed up one night getting hooked on portal.
