No Spoilers. Damn I love this show. Made me feel so sad for what our soldiers deal with, and at the same time slightly jealous that I can't be there as well.


If you are not watching this show... you need to. It's graphic, but never without reason. The dialogue is amazing, and yet that last few minutes of last night's episode was all looks.


One of the characters has made himself a spot on my "List" : Alexander Skarsgård

Apparently Iceman is German or Swedish or something Netherlandic! LOLZ He is also in the upcoming True Blood series I blogged about before. I can't seem to find any good shot of him - the episode where he was running around like he was flying (no shirt).. Any help? LOL

The guy behind the Corner and the Wire (best show in the history of TV IMO) is behind this show so bank on it being top notch.\r \r NG

I've been salivating over this show since I first heard about it. The Wire as NG put is the best tv series I've ever seen. Period. And if you combine those writers with this type of story, well its gonna be some good shit. Can't fucking wait.

Agreed on The Wire, although I put Deadwood a close 2nd, both HBO shows.\r \r I thought Over There was pretty good, although I was stationed in Europe when it aired, so got it on DVD.\r \r For some reason, AF(rickin)N would not show Over There at the time.\r \r I'm with ya though, looking forward to this.

Damn I wish I still had HBO. I started reading the book yesterday and it's damn good. I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended read even if you are watching the miniseries as i'm sure much is skimmed over or left out. I can't wait til this gets released on DVD.

My husband has always said that the higher ranks purposely fixate on stupid shit to stress the soldiers and get them accustomed to working under tense conditions...So at first glance, it seems stupid to focus on perfectly folded sheets and groomed facial hair, but it's really all by design and part of training. \r \r Kinda makes sense.

LOL, I think they said the same thing in last night's show.\r \r I'd disagree with that... there are other ways to stress soldiers out... fixating on mustaches isn't one of them.\r \r Taking them out into the field and running manuevers for 72 hours straight with no sleep. That's how you do it.

I watched this with Todd last night. Damn good show. Made me laugh, made my jaw drop sometimes. BUt damn good.

Two of the Jarheads that advised for the show are in my training room this week! cool stuff. they really liked the book and said HBO did a pretty good job minus a little overdrama, but that's to be expected. I think it's been pretty good so far. \r T.
