Gaming with Old/new people!

I *finally* got to actually game with ATC. I have had him on my FL for EVAH, but we never actually gamed. and I never talked to him before last night. Great guy, very interesting, passionate about the gaming industry and for lending a helping hand. 

And what did we play? Civ Rev! W00t!  Loving the game. It did freeze on us last night (and so as a team: J-Cat and ATC are undefeated: bring it!!) but meh, what can you do? Civ Rev has taken out some things, it's not as micromanag-ie as regular Civ games can be: but it doesn't really feel like anything is missing. I like the new "special powers" that are available. Each leader gets bonuses that accumulate through the ages, your units can get special powers (I had ninja artillery at one point: I mean how COOL is that!) and you get special people that show up every once in a while. Also: if you are the first to get a technology you get a bonus. Like for instance: you are the first to get writing? you get a free spy (which I must say has THE best animation and sound effect ever in any game ever and I do not exaggerate)

What else? Going out to lunch with my man today! Unless he punks out. which he wont'/ Cause I will hunt him down and POUNCE!  (it's what the species known as the J-Cat does best)

(manditory Erica update: Sean has taught her to sing "November Rain, including the guitar solo. I do not know if this is the funniest thing ever, or if I should despair for humanity. Will post YouTube evidence soon)
