Wow... My first blog entry... in any kind of blog...ever...


I am the father of a 14 month old and my wife is pregnant with our second. I am also a die hard gamer. But I wouldn't classify myself as a "hardcore" gamer. By this I mean, I own a 360, a Wii, a PSP, and a DS. I subscribe to Gameznflix to ensure that I have a steady stream of games coming in. One of the systems listed above is almost sure to go on when the baby (and recently the wife) goes to sleep. But I am not hardcore in the fact I need to unlock every achievement, or get the best score possible. Normally, if my score is good enough to unlock the next level, then it's good enough for me.


With all that said, I have been looking for a gaming community for people who enjoy gaming, but at the same time are not all consumed by it. I for one really enjoy the Xbox Live functionality. But I am tired of sitting in lobbys with 15 year olds telling me that they are going to make me thier b***h. (Man, I sound old )


I look forward to participating in a community with members more my age, who can enjoy an intense gaming session, but are cool with the fact that, even though our team may be seconds away from victory, the baby is crying and I have to go.

Sounds like you have found the place that you belong! :) Good luck with all your gaming! :)\r \r Mine and my Husbands console collection is a bit different, in that we have lots of older stuff...lol NES, NES top loader, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Dream Cast, PS2 XBox 180 and XBox 360, and yet we are both on our computers almost every night...how sad is that...lol :)

you, my friend, are welcome to the site.\r \r since you are an educated man who know the virtues of the beantown red stockings, i would like to invite you to join 2o2p's fantasy baseball league. all you have to do is head over to the baseball forums, which are further down the page on the main forum page, and check out the first thread in the forum to join up.\r \r will be nice to have a fellow red sox fan in the league to beat up on the two misguided yankee fans in there and the oddball who likes the white sox.\r \r and, if you're ever on live, we play rainbow 6 almost every night. send a fr to fetal injury and i'll lead you to the cool kids...or the uncool parents...we're deluded. don't ruin our fantasy.
