Well finally got to tear into the xbox (I love hacking up a perfectly good case) (know what I hate doing though? Soldering...) Anyway installed the talismoon whisper legacy fan... The high low fan switch is installed in front of one of the memory card doors so when you push on the door it activates the "Nitro" mode... stealth... also installed the blue led's and glow modso as long as the power is plugged in the ROL will have a soft pulse of blue... I also installed Vibration dampening Rubber pads and grommits to the optical drive...
Fan & ROL Vid...

Looking good, Omega!! Although, I would hate to be the one soldering, too. That looks like it would be a pain. Can't wait to see it at PAX East!! \r

Are these always NEW boxes? If so, what about warranty and all that? Does anyone who wins ever ask? I suppose it is more a work of art...and on display, but the fact that it is fully functional would make it hard to resist playing... \r
Also, was this a new Slim? (sorry if i missed it...)

The Boxes are NOS new old stock. not the slims... however I only use new jasper board 360's basically those 360's made between june 09-june may 2010. They have a very low RRoD rate. I also Replace the fans and add RAM heatsinks. Since the xbox has been opened microsoft will not honor any warrenty however I do cover it for 1 year. I stand by my work. I like to make very large bases and stands for my xboxes so that people dont want to hide them in a cabenet. They are works of art... but fully functioning ones. I also dont do any mods that would be bannable from xbox live, all cosmetic, and cooling. I have never had an xbox come back yet... knock on wood...
I know the Humvee mod you did looked awesome. The little LCD screen was a classy touch, very impressive.
If I get the funds or a sponsor I would love to get back to the batmobile... One day maybe for the new batman movie...
Looking good! Are you worried about the cable laying across the GPU heat sink or is that just for showing the placement of the button?
the ribbon cable will be held down by non conductive Thermal insulating \"cool tape\" its used in the automotive industry to protect wires and such around the engine block and exhuat pipes and is rated @ 1500 deg. of radiant heat.
