Final Daily Dose

It is time for me to depart the website, the website when i first joined and up till a yr ago was going in a direction i liked, it was a niche and brought something to gamers that hasent really been seen around, i''ve never been a big fan of main stream type sites, but i also understand the need to go in that direction, but thats one of the reasons i joined 2o2p because it wasnt. Also im a hyper competitive person, at everything i do, not just games and with the huge decline in the competitive side of things on the site i find myself with a handful of people to game with as opposed to 100's. that is by choice and that is how i enjoy gaming, just like some people enjoy playing socially, generally these two sides collide in the forums and in blogs, people are already sensitive enough about normal stuff let alone someone being a bragert who is in the minority. Im also a very straight forward, no bullshit kind of guy, that is my personality and that aggresive type of personality does not fit the direction 2old2play is going, does it mean its wrong? i dont think so, it just doesnt fit in this environment and makes the site look the opposite of what it's trying to portray now. I understand and that and thats why im leaving primarily.

i've made a shit ton of friends here and to them i wish them well, most of them im sure ill see anyway, the community here has allowed me to express myself in ways i never thought i could or would, which is good, but moving forward into whatever i decide to do, i want new insiprations.

one day some of you will not be threatened by people who actually do stuff while you sit on your ass. instead you will be thankful. people dont understand my personality because they are weak and feel threatened by people who succeed. it's always been a funny thing, when i was doing something for the site, which was everyday you all loved it, but act like childeren when im not as perfect as you r. i dont even blog here and my blog gets more views then people who try. thats because i worked at it for 6 years. to all the people pissing and moaning and taking stabs in the comments, it's funny when i see the names and see you have never takin an active role in helping this site become anything but a place for whiners to bitch about the people who do shit. its also funny that those same people came to me at times over the years asking me for help with stuff and turn there back on me in the drop of a hat. maybe derek should read this , because this is the true story of how an internet community acts. he wouldnt know that because he hasnt been an active member doing stuff for this site in years. but he is qaulified to be on panels about it. makes sense to me. if the community knew a fraction of what goes on behind the scenes im sure they wouldnt beleive it.

when members say thing like, you take the site to serious, i laugh, when i cared about this place i spent more time here helping it out then with my wife to make this place a better place, with community events, blogs, twitter, getting stuff for the lans, giving away games I bought, sigs, logos, podcast, tourneys, so yeah i was very passionate about this place at one time, but when only a few people appreciate it and the rest act like assholes it's not worth my time. i will not let people steal from me, or take advantage of me anymore
