Looks like I'm going to run into an issue with the new tv.  Love it and everything, but the kinect is giving me issues with the way I've mounted it.  Its a good 7 feet up because the tv is so tall and the angle from that height is bad and I think part of it has to do with limited play space.  My living room barely had enough room to play the old way but this just flat out isn't working.  I've recalibrated the kinect and that didn't help much.  There's really no other way to do this.  The old setup was a bit below eye level and that worked fine.  I'm a bit pissed off about this, I wish I had given thought to the kinect setup before picking out a new set.  I'm flat-out failing basic moves in Dance Central that I would get perfects on before.  I'll have to hit Best Buy when they open and see what I can do options-wise.  And yeah, I'm choosing the kinect over the tv.  :)

Nothing else exciting happening.  Kinda lukewarm towards LA Noire right now.  Not a bad game by any means, but its becoming a bit repetitive and I find the controls to be identical to all R* games, too clunky for my tastes.


 


Let's do some Soundgarden for hump day.  The first exposure I had to this group was on the soundtrack for the 3DO version of Road Rash, been a fan since.  I've always liked Chris Cornell's voice he's one of my favorite singers from the 90s.

I use to work part time as a mover and time gets out of hand sometimes. People tell you they have a 10 boxes and a few big pieces and you show up and they have a hundred little things and a job you booked for 4 hours takes ten. This being said, they should be calling you with updates, I always did anyways.

heh, I know better now...although may have been guilty on my first pcs a decade ago...no this time, we have everything stacked and ready to go....hell most of it is in either original boxes or moving boxes already...oh well...Say La V....hehe

I would go with the lower set up as the individual stand they sell is only like 2 feet tall. I have mine below eye level and have had no problems especially on Dance Central.

I've thought about that, the only problem is the space. My couch is about 5 feet from the tv (my livingroom is narrow) and if I put the kinect there it would be too close.\r \r I dunno, might as well try it. I'll let you know if that works better.
