Entering into the unknown

In less than an hour, I will be going to the local recreation center to get a physical assessment.  They will, of course do the obligatory blood pressure, resting heart rate, height, weight, body composition ( OMG), cardiovascular endurance, musculature strengths/weaknesses, flexibility, etc.  This is all to gain a baseline.  I actually signed up for sessions with a personal trainer.  My once diligent morning routine of working out and stretching has withered into curling up on the couch with the dog and a blanket watching X-files at 4 am.  I need a push.

The interesting part is that the name of my personal trainer sounds like he stars in porn movies, Hunter Morgan.  You honestly can't tell me a mental image doesn't come to mind with a name like that and his "job" as a personal trainer doesn't add.  How freaking intimidating.  Here I am an over 40 slightly overweight woman coming in for training from a porn star.  The rest of the rec center is full of 20 somethings in shorts running around the track or riding the stationary bikes.  I can just see it now, my penchance for flatulence will make an appearance at the totally wrong time.  *Sigh*  I'll be forever banned.  My South Park image is more true than some people might believe.  I really need to take up yoga.

Would you Rather
Take a bumpy 2 mile ride sitting wedged (feet hangin out) in the main compartment of a small metal shopping cart
OR
Take a 25-mile ride in the empty but rotating bin of a cement truck?

Keep on Go!

After about 15 minutes you won't notice anything through the haze of fatigue and sweat. No worries!
