25 years ago to this day, this show debuted and spawned a "star" named David Hasselhoff.

The "Hoff" didn't do much with his new found fame until he released:

Arguably one of the most successful TV shows in history. (How this happens, who only knows.)

Not that this TV show was anything special, but The "Hoff" was smart, and had bought the rights to the show after it failed the first season it had run and had been cancelled. Shockingly enough, his fortune from the residuals and royalties from Baywatch is estimated around $100 million.
