Dear Mr. Bungie;

I'll hit on Mr. Bungie in a sec.

Well, I think summer is officially over. It is so cold outside. They are calling for flurries tonight. (cue Canadian jokes) If it does snow, I think it’ll be the earliest that has happened since I can remember. Oh well, time to get the snowshoes out and build up the igloo.

Yesterday, I bought a copy of The Watchmen. I was never really into comics more than the next kid, but so far this book is amazing. I saw the trailer for the movie, and thought it was worth a try. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it is totally drawing me in. I managed to finish the first chapter and half of the second and I’m amazed at how this book, written in the 80s (I think), can still be so riveting. I’m not a big novel reader, so this is perfect (it’s got pretty pictures!). I’ll let you know how it is after I’m done.

Mr. Bungie

After reading Char’s blog about in-game funnies, I thought I would share one with both of my readers. A few nights ago, we were playing Big Team Battle with 7 of us. So we had one random guy added to our party by the matchmaking system. This guy was very talk-ity, so I decided to have some fun with him. We were talking about something (I don’t remember), I think it was about xbl going down…whatever….anyway, I said something like, “I’m going to write to Mr. Bungie and complain.”, slight laughs ensued as it wasn’t really all that funny, but this guy almost lost it. He was like, “dude, there IS no Mr. Bungie!!! It’s just the name of the company!!”. Well, that got me going. I decided to keep it up and insist that there was, in fact, a Mr. Bungie. He wouldn’t get the joke, everyone else was laughing, and he was left fuming as the game started. Order up some fail for that guy. Too bad I don’t have an audio of that. It was quite classic.
