Confessions of a racing noob in Forza 5

Yup, I bought this game as my first game acquisition for XB1. I bought it because I wanted something to fill in time between the real games I play like Halo 4, TITANFAL, Destiny and the next Halo (teasing, a bit). It seems like the kind of game I can just pick up and beat around a track, then walk away from for months.

So it's an incredible racing experience. The graphics are so good it even got my Wife watching and commenting positively. I'll never be a racer. I'll leave all of the assists on until the cows come home, but that's all I need. I never played more than a few games of any previous racer. They just didn't seem real enough to me. This game does. I even went into multiplayer for one game. One guy chatted to me about stuff and I mentioned this 2old2play forum (the XB1 chat set is incredibly clear). Didn't even crack my windshield while coming second last. Not a bad experience.

Currently, I'm beating up on Old n Achy's and Edie Kaye's Drivatars. Pisses me off to see Dr Killinger roar by. That's been fun and it actually makes me want to race just a little bit more. Cool concept.

Painting? Maybe. I don't know if I'll devote the time. Kind of makes me think of the time I've put into Forge. A LOT of time. Must be cool though, to wear your own rags around the track.

I want to get the Halo 1969 BOSS Ford Mustang and drive it around. Because Halo. [smiley]
