CLIFFYB & THE NEW YORKER

Alright Gears and gaming fans. Cliff B of Epic has an outstanding interview running, in of all places, the esteemed New Yorker.

Check it out: www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/11/03/081103fa_fact_bissell

Here are a few quotes:

"He could have been either a boyish Dolce & Gabbana model or a small-town weed dealer." (the writer speaking to Cliffs sense of fashion)

"Ten feet away was a red Hummer H3. Nearby was a Lotus Elise, and next to it a pumpkin-orange Porsche." (the Epic parking lot)

“If you go back and play the majority of old games, they really aren’t very good.” (Cliff on gaming's past)

“I was never geeky enough for the geeks and I was never cool enough for the cool people. I’ve always been in that weird purgatory.” (CliffyB on his personality at the core of Gears)

For those who don't know, the New Yorker has been in print since 1925 and has long been a source for commentary on pop culture.

You know.... the Ottawa Citizen had Fable II on the front page of the entertainment section. Gaming is starting to come into real pop culture. Fantastic!
