Clan Policy Change

Just a heads up to the rest of the community about a policy change for people running clans here on 2o2p. We want to ensure that members of 2old2play have the freedom to play any game with any clan or any person at any time. We don't want over bearing rules or regulations to stop members from playing games with the people they want. In fact, 2o2p is all about getting out and meeting others from all walks of life.


With that in mind, we have decided that 2old2play will require an open clan policy where by any clan member can freely join another clan without being limited by their current clan or clans. This means if you are in a Halo Clan and want to join another clan, you can do so as long as that other clan will have you. If not, then so be it. For the same reason that 2o2p doesnt care what sites you are apart of, so should its policy on clan choice. Playing the game with the people you want to should and is the most important part about being on 2o2p.


I'm sure this policy change will ruffle some feathers, but honestly we think it is best for the community. To many times have we seen ultra restrictive clan rules that force members to chose or be pushed into one setting without experiencing or meeting much of what 2o2p has to offer. Feel free to comment and let me know what you guys think. This policy goes into effect immediately and is a requirement of all past, present and future clans. Thanks

What about requiring all your clan members to buy you drinks for clan night? I've thought this a great policy for a while since it would lead to free inebriation for me on a weekly basis... I don't think those lousy bastards will ever comply though. Useless the whole lot.\r \r Oh, and yeah. This policy is as it should be in my opinion now.

I agree with br1ckt0p, you would think a site that only allows people of a certain age would not need the no Kiddie Drama rules, but I guess age doesn't mean your an adult.\r \r My apologies doodirock, being kinda new here and reading the (Occasional) stupid shit the goes on from time to time here I thought the Management condoned the \"High School cliques\" thing.\r \r I was wrong, sorry bout that.

Its the way it should be. \r \r I'm in a Halo clan that all we do is play Halo, but sometimes I need to get my fix of MW2 and Gears so I joined up another clan. \r \r And again why is it always with these Call of Duty Clans. First with 2old 4 duty and now this shit.

Very commendable policy enhancement.\r \r I remember five years ago, when I started growing up on the gaming Internet, that it was somewhat normal to have restrictive Clan policies.\r \r Our own 2old2pwn Clan had a \"one Halo 2 Clan\" policy for reasons of top secret competition planning. No spies allowed! How could we know that a spy in our midst would have served us better by spreading our retarded planning, thus causing confusion? LOL\r \r It's so easy to laugh at the old restrictive policies now but they \"seemed\" important at the time.

Werd doodi. I actually bailed on a clan that was doing that.. (no names mentioned). If you tell me, or other members that you can't play in a clan, 'just cuz' then I'm out. I've got more important things to deal with in life than worrying about that.\r \r I think it's funny how the flag ship clan has NEVER had such rules, and yet it's frowned upon by others.

Plenty of members have left the site to start their own \"clan\" websites, and outside of a couple of douches that tried to break all the furniture on the way out, I don't remember any of them being banned. \r \r This is not the first, nor even second time this has happened and many members that went away either came back when their new site didn't fulfill what they hoped, or were simply members of both (ask the person 2 posts above yours). \r \r No one gets the \"banhammer\" as a member unless they have done something to REALLY deserve it...that clan would just lose it's right to a clan forum here.

No one will be banned. There was nothing done that was wrong or violates 2o2p policy. I have no problem with said clan or any of the people in it. In fact i think lord and redneck are some pretty nice people. \r \r Sometimes people create drama in order to have justification. As fade said, this isnt even close to the first time and Im more then certain it wont be the last.

I know clans are necessary within gaming but if they didn't exist there wouldn't be as much of this segregation and \"clique\" feeling. I am guilty of this even at times as I don't venture out into the main forums as much as I used to.

I joined PCP in March of 2010 I know that I am new and maybe I don't know shit but I have never had any problems with rules here. I am a proud pig very happy we made the move seems to me that the majority of the drama is coming from people on 2o2p . I have read some really nasty blogs about PCP for what reason who fucking knows? So you may 2o2p but your not too old for fucking drama some really mean and nasty remarks have been shown on this site I find this disgusting. When I first came to 2o2p I applied at PCP and 2o2shoot PCP responded first and then 2o2shoot second and the first remark from the 2o2shoot was negative about PCP this dude didn't even know me. So when I blogged about it and said what he said about PCP this dude got so fucking mad so why say shit in the first place rather childish I think.
