I was looking through an trying to decide which word to post, but this one
seemed to really stick out a bit. I look at it more as a challenge to us
all.

Service

Good morning folks. I trust everyone is having a blessed day. Well, I
meant to get this out yesterday, but due to training at work, I was
unable to do so. For that I apologize. My question to everyone today is:

Have you ever felt like you were doing enough to serve God?

Be careful how you answer that question. I don't think we can ever do
enough. But, that's OK. The only way we could do enough to meet God's
expectations is to be Jesus. We all know that is impossible. BUT, we
are supposed to strive to be LIKE Jesus. Trust me, it is a very
difficult road to travel. I have been a Christian for a little over 4
years and, as of couple of years ago, just started serving the Lord.
All the blame is on me, because I let the devil talk me out of
serving. However, I have been trying make every effort to serve the
Lord more.

Here's a big issue. It was an issue for me and I know is an issue for
others. You question yourself as to what you can do, being only one
person. Let me plead to that person by saying one person can be the
difference in someone going to heaven or spending eternity in hell!
That's a fact, Jack! Here are a couple of verses to read for
encouragement. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (No effort is wasted), Galatians
6:9 (Don't give up), Hebrews 12:2-3 (Don't be discouraged), Ephesians
6:10 (Mighty God!) and Philippians 3:13-14 (Finish the Race). I was
flipping through the back of my Bible this afternoon looking for some
references tot today's word, and those verses all blessed me
immensely. I, in no way, feel I can do any of this on my own. I don't
know the Bible backwards and forwards. I'm quite a shy person. But,
with Jesus standing with me, I am a bold person. He tells me what to
say and comforts my nervousness. The point to all of this is that we
all should be striving to serve our Lord more frequently than we do.
It's tough, I know. I still have a hard time with it. But, to borrow a
line from my son's favorite TV show Blue's Clues, "Don't give up, just
go on!" I hope everyone gets a little something out of this. The
verses spoke to me and I pray they speak to you. Encourage and love
each other. And, continue to pray for where God wants you to serve.
Believe me, you will be blessed immensely. Have a wonderful day and
God bless.
