GM revives Chevrolet Camaro muscle car

$3 a gallon gas notwithstanding, General Motors is bringing back its Chevrolet Camaro muscle car in 2008.

GM chairman and chief executive Rick Wagoner says the car will be similar to a concept vehicle unveiled in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Initial production is to start at the end of 2008, with retail sales beginning in the first quarter of 2009.

Chevy stopped producing the fast, sleek car in the 2002 model year after a run that began in 1967.

by 2008 gas will be probably around $5/gallon .

It's the first decent looking car that GM has thought about making in the last 20 years. Sadly though, the production version probably won't look much like the concept.
