Awesome, simply awesome. I might be one of the few people here who find that article awesome. I worked at IBM when the whole SCO vs linux/IBM thing started.

What was the beef? I'm not familiar with the issue. Did it have something to do with your previous stint of unemployment?
No, SCO started something they couldn't handle. They were accusing linux of having SCO proprietary code. So they started threatening people with lawsuits and demanding companies pay them royalties. Some smaller companies did pay royalties. They went after Red Hat. Well, at the time Red Hat had huge support form IBM so IBM decided to step in. \r

That marked the beginning of the end of SCO. From there SCO was told many times to provide proof but they'd find a legal way to delay that. Basically, they ran themselves into the ground going through the legal loopholes. \r
\r
So basically they were full of hot air and were trying to bully people around. \r

I think last year a judgement finally happened. This just solidifies that SCO made a very bad mistake.\r

You can read about it on wikipedia.
That is pretty sweet justice, tho. If you've got the resources to fight the legal bullies, it's a pretty kickass victory.
