Blessings. And Pictures!
I haven't updated in a while and I thought today would be good since we are approaching a dearth of news for the site.
I've been to Vegas twice, had a birthday, met two of my 2o4D clanmates here in town, received my divorce papers yesterday, meet a clanmate in LA tomorrow, the soon-to-be ex comes to town tomorrow to pack the house, fly to the ChiLan on Friday, come home on Sunday to help load a truck on Wednesday with the remains of my marriage and see my son off to spend time with his biological mom. And the boy just got back from my parent's place in OK, my buddy won his first amateur kickboxing match by kicking the guy out of the ring, I've turned down/put off three dates with women I'm attracted to, and had to drag my 250 lb buddy (aptly nicknamed Bear) out of a piano bar at Universal Studios.
How's that for a synopsis?
My life is in flux. But instead of my usual snivelling, I'm counting my blessings.
1. My son is healthy, if not always happy. Confusion is the rule for our emotions.
2. I've been to Vegas twice and survived.
3. The ladies seem to think I smell like chocolate and money. I have NO idea why, but I ain't complainin'.
4. The job I've got my be tough at times, but hell if it ain't fun.
5. I get to go to the ChiLan.
6. NoGame is NOT going to the ChiLan, so I won't get kicked in the nuts. Hopefully.
7. I have, for the first time in my life, my very own place with no other rommates or support. And can afford to go tothe ChiLan.
8. The artwork coming off my wall makes a perfect spot for a new TV.
9. I have enough money to put into my project car. 95 Big Body, sittin' on Chrome!
10. My son likes to do the laundry for us. He's 11. He ROCKS!
11. He also likes to sneak up on me and give me hugs. aaawwww!
12. He still thinks I'm funny and cool.
13. The H3 launch gives me the perfect opportunity to upgrade to an Elite so the boy won't drive me nuts to play on mine!
14. I'm sober. Except for Vegas, but it's Vegas. Sober at home.
