Biscuits 2 week update.

Well Biscuit survived.  We took her to the vet sunday afternoon after tryng to get her to keep anything down.  She got an IV catheter in her right front leg and hooked up to a bag of iv fluid with various drugs and minerals in it.  After being on it for 6 hours she finally got the whole 1 liter bag infused.  She went from being a little dried up raisin of a puppy to a little dried up grape of a puppy.

Thats her after she finally got 800ml of water in her.  She could finally get around to walk a little bit and even needed to pee which is a good thing, since she was dehydrated.  It took probably another 400ml of iv fluid from another bag that night, and the next day she was actually up walking on her own, drinking again without hurling, and she even ate a little.  For a few days she still got wore out really easy.  She'd sleep all night and play all day and by the time I got home from work she was wore out again.  I think she's still feeling the effects from it, like the tail end of a cold type stuff that people feel, but she made it.  w00t!

I took that pic yesterday morning while I was getting ready for work.  She's bouncy and jumping around again like a normal puppy.  She's still kindof slow and not eating a whole ton.  We finished her last round of steroid shots yesterday, so maybe her appetite will return in full force again soon.

Nothing. She has one and a half brown eyes and half a blue eye. She's a mutt so theres no telling what kind of dogs she got her coloring from til she grows up some.

HOORAY for Biscuit. So glad you were able to stay on top of things with her. You saved her...twice. If she'd remained in the shelter there is a good chance she might not have made it because they might not have been able to give her the attention you could. She is adorable and I wish her a long, happy life.

Great news. BTW, I love the french manicure on your toes. It takes a real man to sport that.
