Beer Club Round 4 Over, Hello Round 5

Beer club round #4 has ended. I must confess my affinity for imperial stouts. I have yet to try one I didn't like, so my ratings may be prejudiced. I found the oaked version included in this round to be outstanding. On the flip side, I have yet to try a fruit beer that I did like, so again, prejudiced.

You continue to get some really solid lineups. Corsendonk is one of my wife's favorites. Oskar Blues (Old Chub, Dale's Pale Ale, etc) makes the best canned beers that I have ever had. \r \r What did you think of the Orval?

I liked the Orval. I would love to drink it again, but not the PA way at $110 per case. I liked it more than Chimay blue, but not as much as the red. I'm not even sure if it's fair to compare the three. I really don't understand Belgians. I've read that Belgium is the Disney Land of Beers. I've also read numerous attempts to describe trappist ales, dubbels, and tripels in simple terms, but I haven't been able to apply the style descriptions to real life. All I know is I find some Belgians are tough to drink, others tempt me to dip my body parts in them.\r \r By any chance have you read Michael Jackson's book on Belgians??\r
