Ball predictions, Cam Scandal, Kinect Set Up

Not a whole lot of important games this weekend, but there are a few with some fairly significant implications.

TCU @ Utah - I'm going with TCU.

Washington @ Oregon - While Washington can play spoiler, I dont see how they can beat Oregon

Alabama @ LSU - LSU's terrific defense against Alabama's inconsistent offense.  LSU's horrible offense against Alabama's inconsistent defense.  Both teams with and extra week to prepare.  Bama will win by 6-10.

Arkansas @ South Carolina - This all comes down to Garcia and Lattimore.  If they execute 60% of what they are capable of (using the Bama game as a benchmark), then South Carolina should win.

This news about Cam Newton is very upsetting, and unfortunately, not very surprising.  His recruitment has always been a question mark, but I've always chalked that up to the usual SEC dog-eat-dog mentality - "If my school gets a fantastic recruit, it's because he is of high moral character and just wants to play for an elite traiditional power.  If your school gets the recruit my school wanted, you're cheating".  If I were API, I'd bench him - let's face it, he can not play against Chattanooga, Auburn will still win, and his Heisman numbers will not take a hit.  Then, maybe this mess can be figured out by the UGA game.  On the other hand, they're in it now, so one game against Chattanooga will not make a difference if this is true.

It looks bad, and to be quite honest, I believe it, and it will probably result in Auburn forfeiting every win this season.  So, at this point, do they just go with it, and try their best to win it all on the field, knowing it will be taken away by May (but being able to keep a possible AP trophy)?  Does it get swept under the rug?  I can't see that happening - the guy is, right now, the best player in college football.  Does this damage his votes?  This whole thing reminds me of both Albert Means going to Alabama and Eric Locke going to Tennessee.  That was wrapped up fairly quickly (Bama slammed, Tennessee skated).  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

In gaming news, due to a fantastically shitty week at work, I had the lady go out and pick me up a 250GB Kinect bundle.  Finally got home from work at around 8:30 last night and got it set up.  Damn hard drive transfer took forever, so by the time it was all set up, I really couldn't do much.  The menu navigation seems pretty cool - just say "Xbox/Kinect/whatever" and it responds well.  Let's see what the games are like.
