Back in the saddle

Managed to stay awake all of yesterday so I didn't fuck up my sleeping last night after not being able to sleep the night before. We had a get-together of former employees where I worked yesterday at Home Run Inn, so that was my cheat meal this week. I made it count too lol, don't even want to think about the calories I took in.

Since I was able to get a good 7 hours last night I had no excuse to not work out this morning, so in I went. The lower back is still a tad sore but it hasn't affected my lifting, however I do keep the incline on the treadmill low for now. I'm a day behind on my routine so I'll work out Saturday and just count yesterday as an off day. I expect the back to feel 100% come Monday so I'll take it up a notch then, but in the meantime I'll continue to take a conservative approach to be safe.

I found out yesterday that my son is one of the players featured on a poster for his football team this season. Remember that he lives in a small town downstate that doesn't have a lot going on otherwise, so when the team is on a run (such as its been the last few seasons) they get a lot of attention from the town. And thats good, really...its nice that these kids have this kind of support. But I already told my son I want at least 3 copies of that poster lol. I intend to get all 3 framed. They're first home game is tomorrow night so I'm driving down there. I've heard they're expecting at least 4,000 people for the game so luckily the family my son is staying with is going to make sure to save me a seat. Can't wait to see him play, I am looking forward to it.
