Attack Mode

People from Philly are the toughest to please with any form of entertainment.

They've booed Santa Clause, Mike Schmidt, Donovan McNabb, Destiny's Child at the NBA All-Star game in Philly, etc...

They throw snowballs at their football games.

The old Vet Stadium had a built in Jail and Court with a Judge on duty on game days when the Eagle's played.  (Not sure if the new one does).

So, it's no surprise that they would boo comedians.

Opie and Anthony has a "Traveling Virus" show where they showcase comedians that are friends of the show.  Included:  Bob Saget, Bill Burr, Patrice O'Neil, Bob Kelly, Jimmy Norton, Rich Vos, Tracy Morgan, and others...

Anyways, this past weekend, the show visited Philly.  And a couple of the comedians got booed.

Some comedians wrap up their sets early when they are faltering and are getting booed.  Others, go into attack mode.

Bill Burr is the latter.  And he was brutal on the Philly people.  And, instead of wrapping his set early, he purposely stays on the stage for the entire time to continue to slam the Philly people.  He even counts down!

(I find this genius, because once he starts ranting, the crowd starts cheering...  so, he brings them to his side, and once they start cheering, he slams them on something they are sensitive on and they start booing again...  he does this 3-4 times.)
