Are you man enough? iRacing 24hrs of Spa

And yes, you read that correct...24 hours.  We shall find out come August 1-2.  We are currently putting together a team (or 2) for the assault on the world reknown Spa Francorchamps circuit.  I'll likely be running w/ co-drivers F1Fan07 & oldslowfred (along w/ a couple more drivers not finalized at this time) in the GBR1 Ford GT in the GT3 class.  We will be trying to back up our 4th place finish in the 12hrs of Sebring and a 3rd at the Sahlen's 6 Hours of the Glen (Watkins Glen).

If nothing else it's going to be interesting.

Can this be streamed on Twitch? That wouild be pretty cool to see it all

I've never done any streaming before...does it take much to set up? I'd also have to confirm that it didn't cause any lag issues around other cars. iRacing already has some \"collision\" issues and I want to make sure I'm not doing anything to compound it.

I should also mention zedarchitect, troysloth & boza will also be running with us. If we don't get anymore drivers the 6 of us will share the one car. But if we end up with a couple more GBR (GoneBrokeRacing) will run 2 cars.

It really comes down to the power of your PC. Xplit is generally pretty performant and doesn't use that much CPU or RAM. I wouldn't try streaming on low bandwith or older PCs though

I'll have to run a couple tests beforehand. My computer was originally built 5 years ago, but has had video & RAM upgrades since. The CPU (i5-660 3.33GHz) is likely my limiting factor if there is one. Video was upgraded to a 4GB GTX760 and system memory to 8GB of RAM. Internet is Cable.

I don't think I'll be able to stream the race. I did get it to work, but I think it's going to be too much for my CPU to process due to the size/detail of the track combined w/ the number of cars that will be present (upwards of 80). I'm afraid I'll end up w/ stuttering at best...full lock up/disco at worst. It's something I'd rather not chance when I've got other co-drivers depending on me. Perhaps when I finally get the new PC built...
