When the world turns to one of the three bigger \"news\" sources for their information, this is what occurs. Common sense is going the way of the dodo.

So I wonder if the same 67% that says he's a socialist are the same 40% that he does what's in the best interest of the banks.\r \r Hopefully....hopefully....they can see where that doesn't jive.\r \r No? \r

I have a theory that in any survey you can get 20% of the people to have the most bizarre belief possible, so the first 20% should be discarded. The fact that many of these numbers are edging 30% or so probably doesn't have a lot of significance...after all, Obama is a socialist in that he is a \"big government is the solution\", \"corporate profits are bad\" kind of politician. That moves him toward socialism in the political spectrum. People jump on labels.

Oh, and people are idiots. You faith in the human race is misplaced.

Was it corrected to reflect American educational levels, political affiliation and so on... It looks like it was... The only thing I don't like is that they don't give margin of error. (the BBC is a good source too, but understandably their coverage of American politics isn't always as in depth, what with them being concerned with the rest of the world and all.)\r

Again, I really believe you have to discount 20% of the respondents, so I'm not sure I would read much into this information.\r \r Oh, and don't diss us R-Tards. No...not at all....what I meant is that many segments of our \"American Idol\" TV generation pick either CNN, FOX News, or MSNBC to watch as their \"news source\" and believe any information they receive there as gospel, rather than take that information and sift the information, or even better, do their own research. (Guess I should have specified better).\r \r When more households are more interested in the TMZs of the world, we as a collective informed public are not doing our duty in staying \"informed\". Harris to my knowledge has always been a fairly unbiased source on their polls.

But look at the quality of the journalism at the National Enquirer. At least they paid attention to what Edwards was doing. \r \r Could it be all those alien babies are real?

Statistically speaking I think 2,320 is a very small number compared to actual population. The results can easily be skewed in one way or another by using small sample of you choosing.

People as a collective are stupid. But I blame political correctness. you can no longer call a spade a spade, it hurts the dirt's feelings.

Bell curve. There are outliers on both sides and the brunt of the populace is dangerously average.

Is it Democrats and Republicans? Or is it Liberals and Conservatives? I agree with the bell curve, there will always be extremes on both sides of the average.
