AO! AAAO! ESRB Come and Me Wanna Go Home!

I don't understand. I mean if it deserves an AO rating, shouldn't it be an AO game? Yep, it may not be marketable, but I would rather that than making the ERSB rating succumb to market forces rather than be an indie regulatory body. Or have I missed something?

My question is this: Why is anyone surprised? I mean, the images in Manhunt are pretty graphic, and to have the player basically miming those motions... I'm not surprised by the AO rating. I wouldn't be surprised to see them rework the controls to be less of a direct reflection of the on-screen actions in order to squeak by with an \"M\" rating instead.

I don't think anyone is surprised. The AO, however, is really a financial-ban, since major retailers won't carry it. However, I think the game could fail all on its own. A preliminary AO means that Take2 will probably rework the game's content or shelve it altogether. I never intended to get this game, anyway, but I think people should start taking an \"M\" rating more seriously.

Sony and Nintendo have a \"No AO\" to their official licenses, so they will not be published if the game remains as-is. It
