A cheater Copy Paste from my family blog

This is from last July when we moved into the house. The Backyard was CRAZY. CRAZY!!!

Fast Forward to October and it was starting to get under control, but then the rain came, the cold came, and in general I had no desire to spend any time out there. I got a good chunk of the west yard done, but the northern strip was ignored because of the scary, scary blackberry bushes.

Fast forward again to last weekend and I got that Northern strip finished. It took me probably 3 hours just for that 3 foot wide strip. I thought that rose bushes were hard to get out, but no- Blackberrys kick their stubborn heinies.

I decided to power wash the concrete to get all the dirt off once I got that pile into the greenwaste garbage can. Its a patch of concrete that hasnt been cleaned in who knows how long. On the northern side of the house. In Oregon. Need I say more? (cough*moss*cough) I wish I would have taken better before pictures, but here are some half way through pictures. SO NASTY. I have to admit I find power washing oddly relaxing.

Here is what it looks like now. We still have many, many hours ahead of us still, but at least now when I look out the kitchen window while doing dishes I don't cringe.

Hopefully next weekend I can get back out there and finish power washing the siding (can you tell how high I could reach without a ladder?) and get the rest of the pulled weeds into the greenwaste garbage can.
As much as I LOATH gardening, I do have to say I am quite pleased with the end result.
One Last Before and After for ultimate dramatic effect lol

Now we just have to wait until we can afford some fill dirt so we can plant grass and have a normal backyard….

Looks great. But be carfull of those thorns. My wife just had surgery yesterday from a rose thorn stick. One tiny thorn infected her hand.
