As this auto-posts on the HQ, the first (and last) work night is over. I have only a safety class to attend later tonight, and that should be over around 2300 hours or so. I should be home with my Sweet Effie, Lord willing, around the Witching Hour.

Got a wonderful piece of good news yesterday: My beloved Effie texted that our son sold his first car over at the Barton-Birk's autopark!! Congrats, Chris!! Awesome work!!

Not much in terms of gaming news this week, as the Holiday has occupied most of our attention. The Kinect Xbox 360 and the Wii my gal and I gave th grandkids were both huge hits. Even the adults got in on the Kinect action, hopping and side-stepping like mad on the Kinect Adventures whitewater rafting games. I skipped the gaming due to sickness and just lack of time this past week. I concentrated on resting up and getting well. My beloved Gamer Gal, tho, has made steady progress on Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It's a blast watching her whup ass with her Wiimote controlling Link's sword!!

Once I got up to Albany yesterday, I did play a little Half-life 2 single player, working through its puzzles as best I could. I'm currently on the infamous (and seemingly endless) airboat level. While I napped, I downloaded Black Ops, which I'd previously added to my Steam library on my now dead gaming desktop, but I couldn't get the dang thing to launch without hanging the laptop. I might give that a try again tomorrow before work, if I can figure out what's causing the hang-up on the game. Moving on...
