An Open Letter to the ThumbsDownFairies...

I know that there is more than one of you.  I am fairly certain that I do not know you personally.  I am fairly certain that you are a leftist.  And, I am fairly certain that you have contempt towards the Uniformed Services.  What I want to know is: who are you and what is it about what I say or do that treads upon your delicate sensibilities?  You thumb me down, yet you leave no counter arguement.  Are you afraid my responses might hurt your feelings?  You could be a complete stranger or a clanmate and it wouldn't make a real difference in whether or not I like or dislike you.  I use my AO here, to share ideas, information and things that I find humourous with the 2o2p community in general, and the Veterans and Conservatives within said community specifically, as there seem to be a lot of both.  So, if you don't have anything to contribute to discussions or don't wish for clarification on what may appear to be inside jokes, why bother stalking my page (not to mention a few others that I can think of) just to thumb me down?  I'll be waiting for your suspected non answer.

I don't know about the others, but I just don't like you :)\r \r That is why I call them \"passive aggressive pussy assholes\". They cannot articulate an intelligent argument so they just run around doing whatever they think they are doing. Fuck 'em.

Allsome... one these days, hell maybe later today before I get my drank on and my Timmy shoot on, I'll throw up a list of sites that I enjoy. And gee, Das, when people start calling me names I find that usually smell Kool Aid on there breath. But calling me names is still better than thumbing down things with no explanation.

think of it this way. You post something publicly, you post your opinion, it's bound to attract a few admirers as well as a few detractors. Now I agree, if they push thumb down, they should atleast say why, whether it be 1 sentence or 100 but some either don't have the vocabulary to do so or don't want to put themselves in the publics ire. Either way, just like its your right to post whatever in your blog, its their right to thumb it down. Again, just my .02 cents.

I can't wait for the new Version for the site to come out. No more thumbs up and down bullshit. \r \r You might have got a thumbs down because, your not a girl, have a gun in your avatar, not a girl, your SFW, not a girl, part of the military, not a girl, don't share thier view, not a girl, you breath air, not a girl. etc....

Blue...LMAO. I see a common theme there. It is pretty entertaining when we see a new female blogger and see the blog commets and hits jump 10X especially if a few pics are involved.

Oh teh noes! You don't speak directly to them! It makes them real! ;)\r \r Most sites, if you thumbs down or give negative feedback it REQUIRES you to post something. That would be nice.

@Drewsky - my skins plenty thick, ask my clanmates, I just want to know why someone would wish to express an opinion but not have the stones to put themselves out there. You put your name out there and stated your case. I appreciate that.\r \r And Blue you're probably on point with that.

Some of us don't come her to listen to other people rant about politics. That's why Doodi did away with the political forums, because they always stirred up so much shit. Leav e the politics behind & bring the fun.

Right now it seems like if you are even perceived as someone who didn't vote for our current President than you are the enemy. You post military stuff and your blog pic is a gun so you must be a right wing wacko so you get a thumbs down. Anything remotely political will get instant thumbs down on this site.

I am a right wing wacko... I am an RKBA advocate and an advocate of cutting the legs off of the federal government. I'm not unique in these feelings. My content is targeted towards other people like me, I'm not here to recruit for the military or sell conservatism. If someone has questions about either, I'm always happy to answer. Anyway, the point of this is to say if you don't like my content, don't look at it. It takes a hell of a lot more effort to thumb me down than it does to just skip it.

So many people complain about the thumbs down I don't understand why it takes a complete re-write of the codebase to remove it!
